On March 1-3, the International Partnership Summit “Global Church Response in Ukraine and Beyond” was held in Warsaw, organized by the Council of Evangelical Protestant Churches of Ukraine in cooperation with the World Evangelical Alliance.
This meeting brought together key leaders of various alliances, denominations, and organizations from Ukraine, Europe, and the world, who worked for three days to find opportunities to further unite their efforts to achieve the following goals:
– Continued long-term support for Ukraine and Ukrainian refugees;
– strengthening broad cooperation in response to crises;
– Developing models for effective engagement of the global evangelical community in similar situations.

“Today is the time for the church to move, to go forward, not to stop!” said Philip Savochka, head of the ROCU and senior bishop of the Salvation Church Association, opening the event. – “If it were not for God, Ukraine would not have survived, and we believe that together with Him we will not only win but also rebuild everything.”
He thanked foreign partners for their support and prayed for peace.

The summit featured many testimonies of God’s miracles over the past year. There were also several panel discussions and meetings in working groups to discuss issues of serving refugees, supporting Ukrainian pastors, and planting new churches. The event ended with a prayer service.

On the eve of this event, the World Evangelical Alliance, together with the European Evangelical Alliance and the RECCU, issued a joint statement on the anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. They condemned the aggression, expressed gratitude to everyone who serves the victims, and encouraged all evangelical Christians to remain faithful to the truth even in the midst of military events.
