Tenth National Day of Prayer for Ukraine unites Christians in Kyiv

On July 5, 2025, the Tenth National Day of Prayer for Ukraine took place in the heart of the capital, a landmark event that brought together thousands of Christians of different denominations to pray together for a just peace, victory, healing of the people, and spiritual renewal of the country.

This anniversary prayer event has become a symbol of the unbreakable faith, hope and unity of the body of Christ in times of severe trials due to the ongoing full-scale war.

During the National Day of Prayer, participants united in prayer for the urgent and deeply painful needs of Ukraine. They asked God for:

– stopping Russian military aggression against Ukraine and establishing a just peace;

– spreading the Gospel in Ukraine, repentance and humility of the people before God;

– protection and preservation of the lives of Ukrainian defenders, return of prisoners, wisdom for the military command;

– God’s protection and support for medical workers, chaplains, and volunteers;

– comforting the families of the victims, healing their hearts, and helping the injured;

– wisdom and strength for the President and all branches of government, help in making fateful decisions, blessings and protection for their families;

– strengthening the family institution and reuniting families separated by war;

– blessings for Ukrainian children, adolescents and youth, and the return of abducted and illegally taken children;

– introducing biblical values, spirituality, and morality into all spheres of public life;

– establishing fairness, justice and legality in the state;

– unwavering unity and support of Ukraine’s international partners;

– gratitude to God for all the answers to prayers – both those already received and those that the Church faithfully expects.

A special part of the event was a prayer of blessing for Ukraine’s great friend, evangelist David Hassaway, who in 2025 will celebrate 75 years of ministry. His long-term support, spiritual devotion, and prayerful solidarity with Ukraine have become an example of true Christian brotherhood.
