The Council of Evangelical Protestant Churches of Ukraine initiates a program to restore pastors from the liberated territories and the war zone:
Participants of the meeting of the Council of Evangelical Protestant Churches of Ukraine, held on November 24 under the chairmanship of Stanislav Nosov (UCASD), discussed the growing need for a program to restore pastors who have been serving in eastern and southern Ukraine for a long time.
The Chairman also informed the audience about the results of the events initiated by the Council during the year. In particular, about the partnership summit “Today for Tomorrow” held in Lviv in June, which brought together the heads of Protestant Churches of Ukraine, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia and Moldova. Pastors Anatoliy Kalyuzhny and Maksym Krupsky spoke about the participation of the ROCU delegation in the events of the European Evangelical Alliance in Sarajevo.
In view of the growing intensity of contacts and cooperation with the World Evangelical Alliance, the members of the Council worked out a draft Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation with the Alliance. Oleksandr Zaiets, Chairman of the Board of the Institute for Religious Freedom, who was invited to the meeting, also informed the audience about the state and trends in church-state relations.
The chairmanship of the Council will be transferred to Pylyp Savochka, Senior Bishop of Salvation Churches, on January 1, 2023, in accordance with the principle of rotation.
