Joint efforts multiply the result: The Council discussed the advocacy activities of the Council.

The participants of the working session held on April 26 under the chairmanship of Anatoliy Kozachko, Senior Bishop of the Ukrainian Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith, analyzed their advocacy activities in the first quarter of this year. They noted the positive development of the Council’s initiatives to unite the efforts of the diaspora in the United States and other countries in order to fully utilize available resources to help our country. As you know, at a meeting of the Council in November last year, a decision was made and appropriate instructions were given to better inform the foreign church audience and advocate.

The participants also discussed the state and trends in church-state relations. Oleksandr Zaiets, Chairman of the Board of the Institute for Religious Freedom, provided an update on the passage of relevant bills and other initiatives. The heads of churches discussed the conditions of pastoral and chaplaincy ministry in times of war and mobilization.

The participants also discussed the development of relations and project cooperation with the World Evangelical Alliance and other international organizations. “Delegations from the RECCU plan to participate in international events so that the truth about the Kremlin regime’s attempts to exterminate an entire nation in the center of Europe is known to everyone. The truth makes people free for good action,” said Valeriy Antoniuk, head of the Baptist World Congress.

In the second part of the meeting, the clergy discussed the state of preparation for the National Day of Prayer for Ukraine, a joint project of the churches that will bring together prayerful people of Ukraine for the ninth time in June.
